Happy Mother’s Day to all of the beautiful mommas and mommas to be out there! This is one of my favorite holidays and for good reason! Paul and I are both so fortunate to have two wonderful mothers who are still both huge influences and active in our lives. Life is complicated and messy and it really is so special to still have a strong relationship with  your mother after all these years. I can’t help but feel extra emotional this morning with all of the thoughts and hopes for our little boy and his any day arrival. I am two days away from our due date and a baby is something I have dreamed and prayed for my entire life. I cannot believe its almost time to meet him!

Our plans for the day are a picnic in the park with Paul’s entire family and then a barbecue with my family this evening. Paul has spoiled me already this morning with homemade waffles and THREE bouquets of flowers through-out our house! 🙂 He then followed all of that up with the temptation of giving me the “push gift” today. I mean…. he’s so excited about it which I love, but gesh that is so hard to turn down! I am showing some will power though and want to wait till baby is here!

Now to this outfit… if you read my pregnancy guide post, you saw that I admitted to having a bit of “uniform” for days when I can’t get clothes to work in my favor. What always works for me is a cardigan with a tank underneath. My two favorite tanks are this white Blanqi maternity support tank or these simple tanks from Liz Lange Maternity at Target. The Blanqi tank is definitely an investment piece, but I have to admit, this is my most worn item throughout my pregnancy. It is incredibly comfortable and really does help with back and belly support.

My love of cardigans continues with this lilac cardigan! The color is a beautiful soft lilac that is right on trend for this season. I love the length of this cardigan and it looks great paired with pants or over a dress. So easy to wear for all the seasons of the year.
