Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I spend my time with my family and cleaning out my grandma’s closet. It was at the request of my grandpa and had to have been one of the hardest things I have ever done. It was bittersweet, and I was so excited to come home with a few of her favorite things. Look for some upcoming posts where I style and incorporate pieces of her favorite accessories.

Missoni is one of the designer brands that is just out of reach for me. They have been around for a very long time, and their piecbes are classic. So you can sense my excitement when I saw this scarf via ThredUp for only $42! Original retail was $214. That’s nearly 80% cost off of retail!!! WOO!

ThredUp is the ultimate in clothing resale. They are completely online, so their inventory is massive. Overwhelmingly massive. Here’s how to shop. FILTER! You can scroll through the filters on the left side bar and filter categories like women, tops, shoes, accessories. And then you can get into specifics like brand names, colors, and sizing. This is the best way to find exactly what you are looking for!

I am a bit of resale snob. If I am purchasing an item of clothing that has previously been used, it’s going to be something designer. ThredUp carries brands ranging from the Gap to Louis Vuitton. They have a beautiful collection of shoes. Yes, there are even Louboutins and Valentino’s available.

Additionally, I tried out their selling service myself. And I was pleasantly surprised! They mailed me their “Green Polka Dot Bag” and I packed up about 30 pieces of clothing, bags, and shoes. I could not believe it when they accepted 23 of my 30 items! This is way better than Playto’s closet. Typically, they accept 40% of items sent to them for resale. In my bag I made sure that my items were in near perfect condition, designer, and also in style. It worked! I made just shy off $100! Hello spring shopping!

Overall, I am completely satisfied with the service from ThredUp and their resale process. I will absolutely be using them to sell my gently used clothing and shoes in the future. I also have my eyes on a few handbags and dresses for the summer. Hope you give them a try!
