A few weeks back I had the pleasure of attending a happy hour at the new kit + ace store in St. Louis. I have heard of the brand before, but never stepped in one of their stores. The moment your eyes set on their storefront in kind of takes your breath away. Simple, chic, and luxurious were my first thoughts when I walked through the door and I left with the same impressions.
Kit + Ace designs are simple but understated. I went home with their button-down Henley that features their signature Technical Cashmere and I cannot give it a higher review. This is not your typical Henley or long sleeve tee. The fabric is so buttery soft and comfortable it feels like a little piece of heaven you never want to take off. You can view how I styled their Henley button-front tee in the post here.
You may be asking, “What the heck is Technical Cashmere?” Well, first of all, its fabulous. Second, it’s fabric engineered from cashmere and technical fibres that has added stretch. And best part… it is machine washable. Most importantly, this is something that is definitely worth trying.
The price point of kit + ace is a little higher than your typical tees, but I can honestly say this fabric wears well and will be in your closet for many years to come. The company was founded by the same family that started Lululemon and was designed for people to have clothes after working out that are just as stylish and flattering as Lululemons designs, but more for everyday wear rather than just for work-outs. Even though I wear my Lululemon leggings for most trips to the grocery store and errand running.
Their clothes are all designed to be seamless, luxurious and sophisticated. Meaning, you can throw on one of their simple tees and instantly look styled and put together. Which makes this a brand I will be shopping in the future. I went home with a button-front Henly that is unfortunately sold out, here is a very similar style, just as cute and comfy! Also, took home a amazing tasseled poncho because it is just adorable and I love it! Look for a post featuring the poncho this week. Also, sold out, but they have some beautiful scarves here and two tassel blanket shawls here. There is also a massive sale going on right now, which you can shop here!
